Beware – Not All Network Marketing Opportunities Are Created Equal

If you’re new to the world of multi-level marketing and are looking for the best business to invest your time into, beware. Not all network marketing companies are created equal. In this brief article, I’m going to cover some of the most important things that you should look for in an MLM opportunity. Hopefully by the time you’ve finished reading this, you’ll have a good idea of how to spot the great network marketing companies as well as the losers.

The first thing that you should always look at is the compensation plan. While many MLM pay plans appear to be exciting when it’s being presented, more often than not they suck. Network marketing presentations always show things in an optimal environment, what happens when all pieces of the puzzle don’t come together though? What if you don’t have thousands of people in your downline, will you still make any money? What about having to balance the volume flowing through the different legs in your business? These are often scenarios that are completely skipped over in MLM presentations, but they’re very important to get answers on.

Another thing that you should take into consideration is what will be expected of you? Is the business built on very traditional, offline, time consuming activities such as meetings and seminars? If so, you could end up spending a lot of time and money on things which may not directly help you grow your downline. I would strongly recommend getting involved with a network marketing opportunity that uses online techniques to replace those made popular in traditional MLM businesses.

Hopefully this short article has given you some ideas on what to look for as you’re checking out different network marketing opportunities. Keep in mind that no matter how good an MLM company or compensation plan might be, whether you are successful or not will ultimately be up to you and the amount of effort you’re willing to invest.
